Discreationary leave waiting time please advice...

Post by roman1988 » Wed Oct 02, 2013 12:52 pm

Hi Everyone,

To cut the long story short, came here in 1988, was granted a discreationary leave on 2009 with 3 years visa. The timeline for extension was
Applied on October 2012,
Acknowledged letter November 2012,
Biometric done at local po on February 2013
Still waiting for a decision....

My Nan is not in the best state and hence I need the visa asap.

What kind of measures can I take, can I call the HO myself if so do you guys know what tel number I live in Sussex. My Lawyer is useless and have told me to be patient. I heard someone said going to obdusment is a good way to go, do think thats to serious?

How long did yours take if applicable.

Thanks for your time.

If your relative is seriously ill and you can get a drs letter to prove this, your case should be expedited and a decision made within a few weeks. Your MP can help you expedite the case by faxing a request to the UKBA.
