SP50 fixed penalty notice do I declare or not?

Post by lana0311 » Wed Oct 02, 2013 5:59 pm

Hi everyone,

I am applying for naturalisation next week through NCS and am confused whether I need to declare a fixed penalty notice- SP50?

I was caught speeding about 4 months ago in scotland and received a FPN, which I paid the next day. I have 3 points on my license now.

The UKBA website states:

"You must give details of all unspent criminal convictions. This includes road traffic offences but not fixed penalty notices (such as speeding or parking tickets) unless they were given in court."[/quote]

Since I did not go to court is it safe to exclude it from the application form?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you have points on your licence just include a copy of the paper counterpart, the NCS officer will do this.
