Post by megdan » Wed Oct 02, 2013 9:51 pm

If a student is interested to start full time PhD in UK,The rule applies of maximum duration of stay as 3 years+ 1 month.

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... /how-long/

Whereas at the same web page, the rules for "If you are at least 18 years old and studying at or above degree level" applies that

Studying for a PhD

The limit will be 8 years if you are studying for a PhD at a recognised body or at an HEI.

It is a bit confusing,Can someone help?
