Self employed- Tier 1 G to ILR

Post by ILRFLR » Fri Oct 04, 2013 7:32 pm

Hello all,

Request your opinions on my doc list.

I am self employed contractor with my limited company. From T 1G to ILR in December this year.

Doc list:

1) Passport + BRP
2) Application form
3) Company bank statements covering the claiming period
4) Personal bank statement covering claiming period
5) Dividend vouchers
6) Accountant letter with invoice and payment summary
7) Invoice print-out
8) Contract print-out
9) Client letter (not sure if they would provide one- just standby)
10) Letter from agency that I have been contracted and paid £xxxx into my company's bank account (this is due to new genuineness test)
11) VAT certificate
12) Certificate of incorporation
13) Letter from HMRC showing my salary details as a director
14) Corporation tax summary letter from HMRC (for genuineness)
15) LIUK + IELTS (submitted during original EC)
16) Masters degree certificate

Back-up docs (to provide only if they ask):

1) All old visa applications and supporting submitted along with them
2) Marriage certificate (as my wife will apply for FLR separately by post)
3) Accounts for the FY 2010-2011, 2011-12, 2012-13
4) Address proof

Please can you provide your inputs on the above list. Understandably, with frequent changing of rules, I am bit nervous if I am missing something.

I would sincerely appreciate replies from all particularly the seniors.

Thanks a lot

Sri

Hi ILRFLR,

Did you find out if it is necessary to have accounts submitted? I still need to submit my annual accounts and not sure if it is mandatory to have these accounts submitted before I go for ILR. My ILR is next week. I have asked my accountant to prepre draft accounts and I am planning to carry draft accounts. Will that be enough?

Please help.

I am carrying my company accounts. After having read carefully in one of the policy docs that it is important to submit the company accounts, though for some applicants, they were not asked, not provided.

I sincerely doubt if draft account is of any use. Carry corresponding FY accounts atleast for claim period

Thanks

Hi ILRFLR,

Where did you read this information? Could you point me to the same link please? We have 9 months deadline to fill the tax return given by HMRC. I am not sure why Home Office wants the tax return to be filled before ILR.

Please help.

Thanks

In my case my claim period falls in the past FY.

If yours is in current FY, then try and get management accounting from your accountant.
