Tier 2 General Limit for a PSW holder?

Post by aerobharath » Sat Oct 05, 2013 1:32 pm

Hi ,

Im in PSW & working for a company which has recently acquired Sponsorship License.

My HR was trying to allocate a COS for me.

We got a reply from UKBA like:

This email informs you that the Confirmation for Acceptance for Studies / Certificate of Sponsorship allocation limit has been reached in Tier 2 (General).

If required, you can apply for further Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies / Certificates of Sponsorship by accessing the Sponsorship Management System and following the appropriate links.

Im confused. I have read that there is a limit of 20700 application per year for Tier 2 general. But i thought its only valid for applications outside of UK not for people with PSW and who is already in UK.!

Does it mean that i cant get Tier 2 visa at all?

Please someone shed some light on this.

Thanks in advance?

It means annual COS limit for your company reached. Every year April to April every sponsor got number of COS allotment. So, this year your company already used their quota. So, they can't issue any cos until April 2014, unless they request UKBA to increase their limit. This can be done by SMS system. Just asked your HR to ask another CoS for you from UKBA or if you can wait until April'14.

Thank you very much for the reply. Thats what i thought so.

And my agent has made some errors in COS details. I havent applied yet using that COS. Should the COS be deleted and allocated again from the begining? or we can just edit it on the management system?

Thanks
