January intake 2014, Please help !

Hello, I am planning for January intake 2014 for my Master degree.
Please can someone tell me that January intake is major for International student ? Or I have to study directly 2nd Semester ? Or I have to postponed my January intake till September intake ?
Any help would be appreciated.
