Infant Visa Rejected ... Please help

Post by rajongo » Sun Oct 06, 2013 7:27 pm

Hi,

I have applied for my Infant UK tier 2 dependant visa at chennai, India.

reason for refusal:

1. Covering letter from company was not on Sponsor UK Letter head instead its on Sponsor India Letter head. Hence can't consider sponsor covering letter.

2. Maintenance funds of 600 GBP is not maintained for 3 months consistently.

My questions:

Can i appeal for this or not?

1. My company is a MNC and i'm in UK for the last 1 year in UK, while my infant was born in India 2 months back.

2. My balance in account went below 600 for sometimes (around 400 GBP) while i have another bank account which got 500 GBP which was not submitted.

If I have to reapply.

1. I'll get letter from my UK company letter head.
2. Bank statements from my 2 UK Savings accounts. balance Together will have more than 600 GBP atleast.

3. TB test report taken last month, Hope its valid for 6 months.. so can i resubmit the same report?

Any other suggestions please.

At I'm in UK and my wife is unable to travel, can i authorise my cousin to submit the application for my Infant with all the required documents from Chennai VFS office.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Raj

This is a technicality rather than a real problem that is unsurmountable. The UKBA are, in fact, obligated to refuse an otherwise perfect application if the maintenance requirement has not been evidenced. If you can show that the maintenance existed at the time of the application, you can appeal (and wait.....). Otherwise you can reapply with the correct evidence and get approval.
