Child born in UK - Visa Requirement for Re-entry

Hi,
I am from Malaysia and currently I am working in the UK on Tier 1 (general) visa. Just a few questions which I hope you can help us with before our family trip back to Malaysia next year in February:
1. Is it possible for my daughter (born in the UK last December) to travel with my wife and I to Malaysia next year and back to the UK without a dependent visa? In other words, can she be considered as child visitor (visa is not required for Malaysian) to travel back to UK. We will apply for her dependent visa later once we are back in the UK from the trip.
2. If not, is it possible for my daughter to travel back to Malaysia to apply for her Tier 1 dependent visa? How long will the application take?
