PEO ILR (work permit) success at Croydon

Post by immirams » Tue Oct 08, 2013 2:31 pm

ILR under Work Permit (NO DEPENDENTS)

Supporting documents submitted:

5 years P60 (one was a printout from PDF provided from my employer as I lost one)
6 months Payslips
6 months Bank statements
Life in the UK
Letter from employer
Absences letter from employer (167 days, longest absence 19days)
Original work permit approval letter (just in case, but not necessary)

Appointment time : 8:00am

Arrived at 7:25 am

Gone through the security check : 7:35am

Front desk man checked my application fee receipt and gave me a token number : 7:40am

Waited on 3rd floor until I was called at 7:50am

The man scanned my photograph and confirmed the address. I confirmed and asked him whether I could change the Biometric delivery address. He said yes and I did. He then asked me to go to the Biometric scan at 8:00am

Biometric done and the woman took all the documents (original and dupicate along with the application) : 8:10am (as the woman went to get a coffee so I had to wait for 5minutes)

Waited in the Cafe on the same floor, My number was called at 8:55am

Went to the counter and was told the good news

Out of the Building with the approval letter : 9:00am

Couldn't be more happier with how simple it was. I want to thank all who has answered my silly questions. I guess being one of the first to be seen makes it simpler as there will be no backlog of applications if one goes later in the day.

Good Luck to all.

(Just to add I forgot to take photocopy of a document. There is a Corner Shop with a photocopy machine just when you turn from the main road (coming for East Croydon railway station) into the street where the Home office is located)

thank you very much for the quick reply! Could you also pls advise if you have filled in ALL 4 or 5 question in this section? These are : SOC CODE, rate of pay per hour, rate of pay per annum, how many hours these are base, weekly hours.

Hi, I hope you see this before you go to the appointment. Yes, I have filled all the four boxes. My colleague didn't fill the hourly rate according to SOC, but he still got approved so I suppose it doesn't matter
Thanks

Hi immirams, Congrats on your success.

With regard to the Absences letter you submitted, can you confirm if it only mentioned days which you spent outside the UK? Or should it include paid holidays spent both inside and out of the UK?

I have my PEO in 2 weeks time (work permit route) and am confused about this?

Thanks.

Hello,
I have only tabulated the days I have been outside the UK. I asked my employer mentioning that all my holidays outside the UK were paid leave. I didn't mention any of the holidays inside the UK.
Hope this helps.
Thanks and good luck

ILR -- Urgent help please

Post by tier2_cts » Thu Oct 17, 2013 10:31 am

Hi,

Good Morning!!!

Could you please confirm me which option should I have to choose for the question 6.3? I never took work related absence; all my absences were for personal reasons.

Thanks.

Hello,

I have chosen the first one which is

Letter(s) from employer(s) detailing reasons for work-related absences including periods of paid annual leave from the UK?

Even though I have not taken any work-related absences. I still got a letter from my employer as it does say including periods of annual leave from the UK. It's better to be safe than sorry.

Hope this helps
Thanks
