talktonight wrote:Hi all,
Please let me know how does it work with scholarship which was awarded by the college itself, for example:
Course fee: £10.000
Scholarship: £2.500
Course fee after scholarship: £7.500
Amount paid: £7.500
When filling UKBA's form there's a question "course fees", which in this case will be £10.000, then "how much have you paid", which in this case £7.500, but no other questions regarding remaining amount (which was covered by scholarship)! If I leave it as it is, would UKBA manage to figure out that remaining part is covered by scholarship as it also stated in CAS?!
Please help!
but that's exactly what i'm having problems with: when completing UKBA's form, there's a question 'what's the course total cost', so I'll answer £10.000, next question 'how much have you paid already', I'll answer £7.500 and that's it, no more questions there! There should be another field for any bursaries / scholarships to explain where the difference is (£2.500) but there is not!bruteforce wrote:You need to state the figure that is on the actual CAS letter, if there is an element of scholarship in your course fees then it should be stated on the CAS letter. It would be better to check it with the institution itself to make sure every thing is in order before you apply.

my CAS states the following:
course fees: £10.000
scholarship: £2.500
fees after scholarship: £7.500
total paid: £7.500
balance: £0.0
Do I just hope UKBA understands this?
I've spoken to a Visa Officer at my university and he advised the opposite. He said I should put the total tuition fees as £7.500, because that's what I pay, and UKBA will figure out from my CAS that it's correct apparently..bruteforce wrote:If you have a letter from your institute mentioning the scholarship then put 10,000 as paid. I would call it a logical answer.
