OCI card for minor where parents are having ILR

Hello,

My son who is 3 yrs born in UK will be getting his red passport very soon. We the parents are having ILR and eligble for citizenship next year March 2014. Planning to apply for OCI for my 3 yr old son after getting red passport.

Can i apply for OCI for my son, eventhough his parents are having only ILR ? or should he need to wait until his parents gets OCI ?

One of the Parents need to have their oci or need to apply alongside child.

As child born here cant apply directly on its own. Unless they had indian passport in past.

Conclusion: u need to wait untill parents are ready n once thry get British passport then u csn do.

Thank you for the response. My Son is already having Indian passport (received in Indian embassy UK). In this case, can i apply for OCI for him ?
