Work in Europe - Visa type

Hello,

I have got a relevant job offer from a UK company. Profile offered needs me to travel into EU countries for manage projects initiated by the Company.

What are the visa rules for such. As i am an Indian national and shall be applying for a UK work permit visa (base location: London).

What is the kind of visa that I have to apply for? What is the procedure? Will I be able to apply for temporary work visa? Does the Company have to manage the visa application on my behalf?

Hello,

I am an Indian national and have applied for a work permit in UK. I have received a sponsorship letter from the Company for the UK work permit visa.

The company apprised me that the job role requires me to also travel to European countries on projects. I want to inquire what should be the visa requirement in this case?

The projects will be short term in nature and once the consulting project is over, I shall return to the base location (UK).

Please can anyone advise what should be my way forward to understand the visa processes for European countries for temporary work permits. Does the Company sponsor me for those travel and work permits?

What kind of visa should i mention to them?

UK based work permit won't allow you to work or even travel to other EU countries and despite a schengen visit/tourist visa can help you to move around different EU countries freely but will prohibit you from working. Therefore, your company would need to sponsor you there too or you will yourself have to find alternative ways for getting working visa such as danish green card scheme/Norwegian skilled worker scheme etc.

There is a scheme by which 3rd country nationals who work for a company based in the EU can work in other EU countries so that the EU company can provide services in another EU state. A visa would be required.
