Clarification regarding Letter of Absences

Post by ai-2013 » Wed Oct 09, 2013 7:56 pm

Hi All,

I would be applying for my ILR in November (work permit route). For the letter of Absences required to be submitted with the application does it need to include all absences from work weather they were spent outside the UK or not; i.e. should it include a day taken off from work to move homes, etc.?

The general requirements for Work permit employment (http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/polic ... les/part5/), section 134SD – B states the following, but doesn’t say if the leaves to be mentioned on the letter are limited to the ones spent outside the UK:
“A letter from the employer detailing the purpose and period of absences in connection with the employment, including periods of annual leave.”

Thanks.

i have a query regarding question 7.11 of the Set(O) form which asks:
  • 7.11. How long have you lived in the UK? ____ Years ____ Months
1 - Does it only relate to my current leave to enter the UK i.e. how long i have been in the UK on my current work visa?
2 - Should I include or exclude days I was absent from the UK as detailed in Ques 6.2?
3 - Should I include the days I was in the UK on a student and visit visas (there is a gap of 3 and 2 years respectively, in between these visas and my current work visa)?

Thanks.
