Leaving UK during term time

Greetings

I am currently a full time postgraduate student of September intake. I have tier 4 general visa. with multi entries.

My question is, on the next days I am planning to visit a schengen country for 5 days during my term time, however during those 5 days there are no events or lectures that my attandance is required. I already have a schengen visa, paid for everything includin my return ticket. However as I searched I saw that there some kind of approved absence paper that schools want you to take before you go anywhere.

Can someone explain me the consequenses of not getting this paper, because I'm out of time, and the problems I might face when I am trying to enter back to UK? Would be glad if someone with the same case can share their experiences.

It's up to you to satisfy an Immigration Officer that you are still a full time student. If getting more documents from your college will help clarify this, then do get them.

Hey i strongly advise you just to take a letter from the registry officer that it's perfectly fine for you going on a holiday. It's not a requirement but good to have otherwise it's just immigration officer ask you to wait and interrogate , I'm not saying it going to happen with you but to be on the fair side. And it doesn't cost money just to get letter

I'm not sure about the rules in your collge/university but when i was a student it was a requirement by the university and everyone need to get that letter

Preferably tell to your institute management about your travel reason and request the relevant letter for airport authorities. By this way the college will already fully aware about your travel and can easily confirm same with airport authorities if they try to check from your institute.
