Unusual dilemma, please I need advice from gurus

Post by Sonye » Sun Oct 13, 2013 11:39 am

I am in a confused state. I was preparing my application for an entrepreneur visa team application. We have gone very far with everything. She has just told me last minute that she doesn't want to go ahead with the application. My question is, what do I have to change? I know I will need a new business plan. But would I need to open a new business account, new company, etc. please I need your advice on what I can carry on with and what I can start doing because I haven't got much time.
Thanks a lot

If nothing is currently held jointly and is still available to as an individual, you may proceed as an individual you have not given specific details so it is not possible to comment in more detail.

We have the £50k in a joint account, we also have the business account in our business name, business plan (I am a project manager and partner is a business consultant), both of us are declared as directors on companies house, certificate of incorporation, ct41g letter and contract letters.

Thanks

@ Sonye, you have the option of applying as self-employed by registering with HMRC and then putting the 50k funds in your personal account.
As a project manager, you can work on contract with other company.

You can also use your existing company by removing your partner as director and then making changes to your business plan.

@olasukani

Thanks. Is there anything else I need to provide as proof of self employed apart from the contract?

@ Sonye, the same necessary documents that is stated in the policy guidance. Just follow the policy guidance and read through paragraph 245D-245DF and Appendix A of the immigration rules and you should be ok.

As we both opened a business bank account together, do i open a new one or leave it as it is as it is in the business name but still was opened by the 2 of us?

@ Sonye, you should make yourself as the sole signatory to the business bank account and you should be fine with it.
