PEO appointment of SET(M) - Sponsor allowed?

Post by saanju9 » Mon Oct 14, 2013 10:52 am

Hi
I booked a PEO appointment for my wife for her SET(M).
Am I allowed inside with her into the office.
Do I need to make any requests???
She doesn't have any other problems apart from not so good English and general fear of UKBA

thanks

You are required to attend the appointment with your wife. In fact, if you were unable to be there you would have to submit a letter explaining the reason for your absence. Tell your wife not to worry...there's no 'interview'.
The application documents are simply checked for validity.

From the UKBA website:
If you are applying on form SET(M) (to extend your stay or settle in the UK as the spouse or partner of a person who is settled here), both you and your partner must attend your appointment. If your partner cannot come with you, you must bring a letter they have written to say they support your application. They must sign and date the letter and give us a daytime phone number so we can contact them, if necessary. Your spouse or partner who is settled here, must be present in the United Kingdom at the time of the application.
