Letter of non-acquisition of Indian Citizenship

Letter of non-acquisition of Indian Citizenship

Does anyone know how a person living in India can obtain a letter of non-acquisition Indian Citizenship?

The person already has British Overseas Citizenship and requires this letter to apply for British Citizenship. Also, the person has never applied and has never had Indian Citizenship.

The equivalent letter non-acquisition of British Citizenship can be obtained from the UK Border Agency website. However, I cannot find the same from Indian government websites.

Is this something I can do via the High Commission in UK?
