my wife is my dependant on me. I have applied for my 10 yrs

Post by iq4u3 » Fri Oct 18, 2013 5:10 pm

My wife is here for the past 8 yrs. I have applied for my 10 years long residency.
I would like to know which category she needs to apply and which form pls.
I'm a bit confused with new rules from 1 October 13 that she needs to do life test in uk and English test.

Could you please help me .Her current visa is going to expire nov 13 as tier 4 dependant.
Thanks

If she is a PBS dep she needs to apply for FLR(M) before her leave expires, if your decision is not made, she needs to ask for her decision to be made after yours, including your application reference number.

See also, ILR - PBS DEP - FLR(M) ROUTE UPDATE The English requirement forFLR(M) is A1 and subsequently for SET(M) will soon be LIUK and B1.

I was bot confused about the finance and according to her visa she is not supposed to apply for public funds but she applied for child benefit.Do you think is going to affect her application.

Yes it may, has she stopped the claim? You are able to claim child benefit in your name as you're not subject to immigration control any more! What Country is your spouse native?
