Claiming Child Benefit on FLR (M)

Post by swar80 » Sat Oct 19, 2013 11:52 am

Hi,
I have query related to Claiming of Child benefits.
I recently received my ILR, but my wife and daughter are on FLR(m) and have 2 yrs of valid visa.
Wanted to know on this basis can i claim Child Benefit for my daughter?
My childs BRP mentions no public funds , but mine doesn't so i am confused.

Called the CB helpline, but they advised me to send in the form so that they can make a decision.

Can any one help me on this ?

We are from India and currently my wife and daughter are in UK with me.
My daughter was born in India last year and they joined me back in UK in Dec 2012.

So long as no undertaking has been signed in respect of the children, you should apply for child benefit and a joint claim for tax credits.
