Funds already invested

Post by syy » Sun Oct 20, 2013 6:01 am

Hi,

I met an accountant for a free consultation but got confused. He never handled Tier 1 (Entrepreneur)'s cases to show evidence for funds already invested. I want to get some advice in case he is wrong. I have two questions here.

1/ What is counted as "funds already invested"?

From the point of view of the accountant,
"investment" is equal to "current assets(fixed assets(even those brought from 12 months ago), stock, cash at bank) minus current liability(creditors, profits, loans etc)"

From my own point of view, the funds for the visa application is ALL MONEY I SPENT which is purely a lump sum of all expenses I made in the last 12 months before the application. For example, machines bought before 12 months ago as fixed assets will not be counted in.

2/ What kind of accounting documents do I need? A balance sheet, capital account or something else which only shows the money I spent for the last 12 months?

I look forward to some clear advice.

Many thanks,
