THE NEW FINANCE RULE-EFFECT ON STUDENT NURSE [URGENT PLEASE]

Post by 31staug » Sun Oct 20, 2013 9:58 am

Hi guyz,1st I want to say a BIG well done for the advise given on this forum it's really helpful.

I urgently need some advise on my question:

Am a British Citizen and married to a Nigerian guy. His currently back in Nigeria but the issue is that I am a final year nursing student here in the UK and I learnt a new financial rule applies in which one has to be on an earning on a minimum of £18,600 per year in order to be able to bring his/her spouse into the UK (This has really made me depressed). However, I am on a monthly bursary and also work part-time in a hospital (12 hrs or 24hrs or 36hrs/per week) Regardly, am still not earning up to the £18,600. I have read the HOME OFFICE FINANCIAL REQUIREMENT BOOKLET,but still don't know where am exception or a lesser earning requirement applies to students. So please I will be very grateful on advise from you guys, or a reply from anyone who has be in my position. THANK YOU[/b]

First of all, you have posted in British Citizenship section and your query is not related to citizenship.

Yes, all that you read about financial requirements fully applies to you. There is no exemption for being a student or student nurse.

If you receive a University stipend, this may be counted as income. See also, thefinancial requirement. See also, the EEA route.
