refugee status to expire jan 2014. what next?

Post by sunnyboy2 » Mon Oct 21, 2013 11:49 am

Hello,

I've claimed asylum at point of entry in 2007. I was granted refugee status in Jan 2009. I was given limited leave which will end Jan 2014.

I've a British partner whom I've been with for 6 years and we have a 3 year old child who is also British.

We have sufficient income and don't rely on the state. I haven't breached my immigration rules. I'm terrified of being removed to my country of origin.

I'd like to stay here and become a British citizen.

1. If my application to extend my leave is refused, can I appeal through the family root without leaving the UK?

2. When can I apply for citizenship?

Thank you.
