Dep applications from inside or outside UK & ILR eligibi

I am on tier 1 with 3 dependants. I look forward to send my family to India in Jan 14.

My 2nd extension of visa is due on mid of Feb 14. I will apply (only for myself) for it in Dec 13. However I will apply for dependant’s 2nd visa extension from India, which will be based on approval received on my visa extension (probably in Jan 14) Should I need to apply for their visa 28 days before visa expiry?

Further my family will stay there for 2 months and will return to UK (probably in March 14). Our ILR will be due in Sept 14. Hope that my family will be eligible (along with me) to apply for ILR, as they stayed with me for more than 3 years in UK with no gap of more than 3 months.

Also, one of my child is born in UK. I will obtain his visa from India (as mentioned above) and will apply directly for British passport (MN1) after our confirmation on ILR. Hope there is no need to extend the visa or obtain ILR for him.
