Sponsorship licence re-submission

Hi

My PSW Visa is due to expire on the 17th November2013. My employer has applied for a sponsorship licence but was refused due to 1 missing document. They have resubmitted the application on the 18th October. I have about 3 weeks left of my Visa. Is there anyway I can extend my Visa for 4 - 8 weeks until my employer gets a licence and can apply for my CoS? The company lawyer has suggested that I should apply through a FLR(O) form. I do not have any ideas about this or do not know if I am eligible to apply for this or if I have enough time left to apply. Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated.
