British Citizen want to immigrate to Canada

Hi

I am a 23 year old British Citizen wanting to move to canada for a year or 2. I work on a shift pattern of 1 month away and a month home in the offshore industry and am a qualified 2nd Officer in the merchant navy. I would like to continue working as I am in this industry and stay in canada in my month home. I am big into sports and enjoy nightlife.

Any advice on how to get a immigration visa?

Also any advice on where would be best for myself being into spors and nightlife?
