Pls Help Urgently - Travel without BRP

Post by kyborg99 » Fri Oct 25, 2013 4:56 pm

We have got our passports back with a letter stating that Visa is approved and to wait for the BRP to come.

My Wife needs to travel back to India URGENTLY because of a serious family matter and she does not want to wait till Monday/Tuesday for the BRPs to arrive.

I am going to India next weekend anyways - so I am wondering can she go to India now as she has her passport and the UK immigration going out does not ask/check UK Visa- and I will then carry her BRP card along with me as I am travelling to India next weekend anyways.

Please Assist.

The visa could be checked in India during the immigration clearance. It might be hard to explain there after landing.

even if she manages to go through indian immigration in India what happens if her details on the BRP card are wrongly printed! I dont know if you will have trouble passing UK immigration while coming back. very less chances of course.

Personally I took chance by doing similar to this 2 years back, in which case my solicitor posted my BRP cards to India which luckily had correct details. Although I had my visa(Vignette) valid to go to India while my BRP's were in post to solicitor in UK
