MN1 Form Queries

Post by Techie143 » Sat Oct 26, 2013 2:01 am

Hi,

I have booked the appointment with NCS for registration of my child as British citizen.

Please find below list of queries regarding MN1 form.

1) We mentioned baby surname under Section 1.5 and first name under section 1.6. Is this correct?
2) What we need to mention under Section 1.9 (present nationality)…Indian or British? The child has born in UK three months before the ILR approved to Indian parents and Baby does not have Indian passport.
3) In the 1st referee section, we have mentioned “Family friend” who is teacher and British Citizen by birth. For 2nd referee, we mentioned “neighbour” (British Citizen) details. Both referees have filled their details themselves in the form.
Both referees know the child personally. Will this be sufficed?
4) We married on 01-10-2009 in India and registered our marriage on 05-10-2009. In marriage certificate, both “date of marriage” and “date of register” have been mentioned. Which date we need to specify under Section 1.39?

I would appreciate your advice on above queries.

Thanks!
