Site maintenance

I see the site was switched to a new server today. However, the site closed, albeit only momentarily, I was half way through a post which was lost. It may be helpful if scheduled maintenance could be announced in the 'announcement section' in the future, as to avoid further reoccurrence?

Actually the site was unavailable not only momentarily but for an extended period last weekend.

Whatever necessitated the site being off-air one unwelcome change has also been made. When using the SEARCH function, and after completing one search, the "back" button of the browser no longer works and the site closes. One has to start afresh by opening the site and putting in the search key words all over again. Could this be corrected please?

I noticed this today and a couple of times yesterday as well. Sometimes today I was just getting the message 'It works' html message.
