Tier-4 PhD Appeal Successful - what options please. (urgent)

Post by syedJ » Sun Oct 27, 2013 12:06 pm

Hello All.
I need some urgent help. I am PhD student. I applied for Visa Extension last year and the CAS statement asked for visa extension till June 2013.

I applied for visa extension through my university visa team. It was refused as I had unpaid previous year tuition fees. But I did not know this at the time of application. I know my university team should have cleared this issue.

Due refusal of Visa/ Appeal Issues I had to do everything myself as I could not afford solicitor and other issues I could not finish my PhD and needed extension.

Anyway, I appealed myself without any solicitor and it was successful - I got letter yesterday saying my Appeal was allowed.

Now what UKBA is going to do?
My CAS asked visa extension till 20 June 2013 and that time has already passed.
I know UKBA give 3-4 months extra visa - which mean they will grant me visa till October 20, 2013. But by the time I receive letter from UKBA about successful Appeal December/January it will be already too late. If they grant me visa till October 2013, I will be already "over-stayed"?

Does anybody have any idea what is going to happen? Will UKBA give me visa for additional months, if not Will I be over-stayed when I will get visa? Should I make fresh application now? Should I appeal against this successful appeal decision and ask for additional visa.

Another important thing is that I have research paper accepted in a conference in December - What are possibilities I can visit out of UK in December 2013.

Please help I will be very grateful.

Thanks,
Syed

You should be given 4 months leave to remain from the date they impelement the appeal.
