ILR application with assult caution

Hello everyone.
I just need clarification on my case as been up all night reading but can't quite find a similar scenario.
Spousal visa expiring in 2 weeks
I have made PEO Appointment for the 4th November to apply for ILR
I have a simple caution "assult by beating" (hit someone with a remote)
Which was recorded in May 2012
Is this caution likekly tobe ground for refusal?
What would be my other option?
Please note I haven't done any CRB/DBS
Your replies will be highly appreciated.
