I got married to us citizen in JUNE 2006 overseas, and he applied for my green card in US in August 2006, in September 2006 I got a B1/B2 visa from my employer , so I visited US in October same year and stayed there for a month as I told the immigration that and my vacation was up to this time using the B2 VISA.
In 2007 JAN, I got a free ticket form my employer so I used it to come here again, using the B2 visa and while I m here my husband said that he is going to apply for me here for change of status. but when I asked my attorney he said it will take up to 6 months for the whle process till I get my green card ,then he sent me letter of this information (it will take about 12 month for the whole process ,furthermore, in within 30 days I may get my application receipt. And 90 up to 120 days form that I will get my work permit. And that will be 150 days. And so on), also he claims that I can study here in US with my current visa
I don’t know what the correct information is, plus I went to University to ask but they said I can not study in US with a B1/B2 visa.
Moreover I only have 3 months to apply for the change of status so I can stay in US legally.
