Tier 1 Dependent Maintenance Funds

Post by suraj.ap » Thu Oct 31, 2013 8:11 am

Hi Experts,

I apologise to ask this simple question. However I am not confident about this.

I am on Tier 1(General) Visa valid till Dec 2015 and I am in UK for the last 18 Months.

I recently got married and want to bring my Wife as my dependent.
My wife is maintaining 80 thousand Rupees in here A/C which is equivalent to >600 GBP.

My question is just maintaining >600 GBP in her account is enough or do I need to maintain anything?

Your inputs are very valuable..

Regards,
Suraj

Hi Experts,

I have seen the below link but still not sure whether I also need to maintain the funds in my account along with my dependent(600 GBP).

Read the policy guidelines,
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... olicy1.pdf

It states on pg9,
46. If the Tier 1 Migrant has been in the United Kingdom for 12 months or more, you must have
£600 to support yourself.
If she is the only applicant, then it is enough she only shows £600.
