getting divorced and coming back to work

Post by skavy » Fri Nov 01, 2013 3:19 pm

I came to the UK for my MFA on a 2 year student visa. I got married to a man from the UK after and switched to the first 2.5 year spouse visa. We may be getting a divorce, but I have been immersed in community and youth projects in the arts and making money from it. I would like to stay after my spouse visa expires in March 2015 but not sure which visa is right for me. Also, are my years living here as a spouse valid for when wanting to apply for indefinite leave to remain?

You cannot extend your leave if the relationship has ended. Any of the PBS routes would require you to leave the UK and apply from your own country. Your time already spent in the UK is only counted for ILR under a long residence spplication of 10 years.
