VAF4A Spouse Visa Financial Requirement

Post by Ally1 » Tue Nov 05, 2013 9:51 pm

If we are combinging my income from Self employment and non-salaried (which exceeds 18600) do we need to just show evidence from the tax year 2012-13 or from after that too?

That's arguably the most convoluted combination as it implies that evidence is needed for the both categories from the relevant tax years and perhaps up to the current date, which I think would be wise showing, so far as the requirement is met.

Thank for your reply. But my income doesnt exceed 18600 from jut non saleried employment, my self employment makes this up which I wouldnt have evidence for until I file my tax return next year. Would that be a problem? I can show I am still working and in full time employment?

It should be ok so far as the requirement is met in the relevant tax year - 2012/13. Don't forget to provide proof of continued employment and self-employment.

Do you think a letter from my employer would be sufficient?

I would surmise so along with the other specified evidence that is required.
