ILR for child currently in India

Post by mhatti » Wed Nov 06, 2013 9:09 pm

Hi All,

Please can someone help me with my query.

Both myself and my wife are holding ILR and both are eligible to apply for British passport in April 2014. Currently my child is staying in India with grant parents and I want to bring him to UK permanently as soon as possible. Child was born in India and he had stayed with us in UK since Nov 2010 till August 2012 on PBS Dependent Visa. Since August 2012 he is staying with grand parents. Both parents got ILR during his absence in March 2013 and his PBS dependent visa which is void now as our visa status has changed will expire in January 2014.

My question is
1) What application to use to apply for his ILR from Bangalore Visa office.
2) After he comes to UK can I apply for child's British passport along with my application for British passport in April 2014.
3) Both parents are working and staying in shared accommodation. Does this affect childs application for ILR when applying from India.

Please can someone give advice for my current situation.

Thanks
Manju

1. VAF 4A and Appendix one.

2. The child may be entitled to register as British under section 3(1) BNA, so far as the child is relatively young, in the UK with ILE and applies at the same time as the parents apply to naturalise.

3. So long as you can satisfy adequate accommodation and maintenance.

Hi,

My circumstance have changed and wanted advice from members of the forum.

My employment status have changed and now I have become self employed. Earlier I was permanent employee and now have opened a limited company and I work as self employed(contracting).

What all documents will I have to send to apply for ILR for my child when applying from India. I have a 3.5 year child currently in India and I want to bring him to UK. Both parents are settled in UK and holding ILR. I, Father of the child sponsoring him to come to UK and stay with us(Parents). Father is Self Employed and Mother is also working.

Can I fax or scan all the documents and send the documents to India and apply for ILR for child in India. Or do the documents needs to be originals.

Thanks,
Manju
