Qualifying period, advice needed.

Post by endendu » Thu Nov 07, 2013 11:58 pm

Hello, I would like to find out something regarding residence qualifying period when applying for naturalization. I have been in UK over the last 5 years, however, over the last 12 months I have not always been working, but I have been in UK, whilst I was not registered with job centre and was looking for job on my own, could my debit card history be valid evidence that I have been physically present in UK as I was spending money on daily basis in UK, or what I should do in such case and how could I prove that I was in UK?

As I have no official evidences as I was unemployed and was not registered with Job Centre where one can claim job-seekers-allowance. How do things work in this case?

Your answers would be highly appreciated.

(I assume that you hold ILR for over 1 year or married to a BC).

Normally a passport is enough as evidence of lawfull residence when applying for naturalisation.
