Urjent Help! Tier1 Dependent Payment declined.

Post by SK1651 » Fri Nov 08, 2013 11:16 am

Hi,
First of all I would like to thank this forum for all the support and advice regarding all the immigration queries. This is the best place for all the help required on general immigration queries.

My husband recently got his ILR approved. Thanks again to the valuable inputs from this forum.

Following this I applied for my Tier1 PBS Dependent extension visa on 4th of November by post. After calling up the bank on 7th i was told that the payment had been declined on 6th even though my husband had called up the bank 3 days in advance stating that the payment should go through anyhow. This was an error on HSBC’s part and was due to their internal administrative reasons. The bank has itself confirmed this to me over the phone and is sending me a letter of apology in the post

When I called Home Office they said i would have to wait for my application and documents to be sent back.

The problem is my visa expires today on 8th of November and i haven't received any communication from home office as yet.

Can some guru please guide me as to what should be the next course of action for me? If I reapply once I receive my application back would I be considered as a over-stayer? Shall i return the same application or fill a completely new one? This is worrying me a lot now so any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

You should resubmit the application with a new form (making sure it is the most recent version) as soon as possible. While it will be an out of time application, they will generally approve it if it is submitted less than 28 days after your leave expires if you meet all other requirements. It would be a good idea to include the letter from the bank to show it was their mistake.

You may wish to consider using a cheque for payment rather than card to ensure it isn't rejected again.
