Factor 3: Work experience (maximum of 15 points)

Post by ssidd » Sat Nov 09, 2013 5:42 pm

Hi Guys,

I am planning to apply for the Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Programme. Currently I am working as Graduate Trainee (Petroleum) since last 1 year but my previous 3 year experience is in Mechanical Engineering (both Petroleum engineering and Mechanical is included in eligible occupation).

Would it be ok if I choose PETROLEUM ENGINEERING AS PRIMARY OCCUPATION (as I am applying under petroleum engineering category) and also claim 3 years experience of Mechanical engineering as well.

I have read some where that;

(You must have at least one year of continuous full-time, paid work experience (or the equivalent in continuous part-time work) in the primary occupation you specify in your application.

In order to receive points for all of the jobs you have had over the past ten years, your work experience must be in one or more occupations listed in Skill Type 0, Skill Level A or B of NOC 2011. )

Kindly comment on it. Your guidance will be much appreciated.

Many Thanks
