Travel after citizenship ceremony

Post by forbc123 » Mon Nov 11, 2013 10:41 am

Me & My Baby have recently received approvals. However, after ceremony can my baby travel outside UK in January (to India)

Can I still apply for UK passport of my baby before travel, will it invalidate her ILR? . I'm confused with sequence of events here

Please advice

If you have your Indian Passport, you can still travel to India within the 3 month grace period from the date of your naturalisation.

Thank you Guru - so it doesn't matter if baby has UK passport if it is with in 3 months of Citizenship ceremony..is my understanding correct?

Yes, Assuming that your child was Indian passport holder in the past.

Yes, she is Indian passport holder. Finally, when my child arrives in UK from India, does she need to present her UK Passport or Citizenship Certificate?

This is my last question to you Guru. Thanks for taking your time in answering my queries

I'd assume it to be UK Passport. However, keep her Citizenship Certificate to hand just in case you might need to clarify any misconceptions.
