Hi all
I am on a 5 year ancestral visa and applying for my Indefinite Leave to Remain. 2 queries i have. 1: Do i need to fill out the points based system in my application form? I have been told i dont need to but i need a second opinion and

2: I have a same day premium service so with regards to the biometric residence permit do i do that on the day of the application?? I have applied for a biometrics before visa postal service and i had to send off my passport so it seems logical that i cant do it that way as i need my passport for my same day application.....

The PBS is not relevant it's quite straight forward for you see here.

Yes Biometrics will be done same day.

JJCale wrote:Hi all. One more question: My 5 year ancestral visa expired last year august ,before the 5 year period was up ( I had 4 months to go to complete my 5 year period) so instead of applying for an extension ( which i didnt know you could do and obviously didnt check properly) I applied for another ancestral visa which i only received in April this year

Will this affect my application for Indefinite Leave to Remain??

I'd guess that means the five year period starts again. Might be worth pleading with UKBA but don't hold your breath.

Oh no! I have already booked my Indefinite leave to Remain appointment. I have been in the UK for over 5 years and have the proof...why would they start it all over again?

Because now you don't have have the correct visa that shows it. Maybe worth pleading your case that it was a genuine mistake but the UKBA at the end of the day the onus is on the applicant to get it right.

You'd think the caseworker would have flagged it but they are either thick or chose to ignore it because it means more ££££ for UK plc...

Well all i can do is write a letter explaining the situation and pointing out both my ancestral visa's that i have..one is in sticker form (original) and the other is biometric card..and then put it in with my application form and hope for the best

There should not be an issue so far as the requirements of 192 are met.
