Any interviews for LTD company directors ?

Post by bond.boy203 » Mon Nov 11, 2013 4:26 pm

so far I have seen from various posts that people who have been called for interview are the one who claim earnings from one of the categories below.

(i) Earning from full time employment + Earnings from Ltd company
(ii) Earning from full time employment + Earnings from self employment ( registered as self employed)
(iii) Earnings from self-employed ( full earnings note not limited company)
(iv) Earnings from Limited company only (salary+dividends)

I belong to 4th category from the above. Can someone please confirm even if the below fourth category people are also called for interview. Not that I need to worry about, but would help to make sure I have all the documentation in place for my extension next year( as I am on the verge of signing a contract for my limited company)

So far from experiences of members in this forum(as far as I have seen),there has not been a case where Employed as Ltd Company director has been asked of additional documentation or interview.

However in this case, where OP was director of ltd company, but had identified himself as self-employed, has been asked for additional documentation.

Thanks for the response.

Also as per my knowledge ltd co directors 9 salary+dividend) are employed & not self employed isn't it ?

Is there is a section in the form where we need to declare if we are EMPLOYED or self employed ? if so, could you please point me in that section for tier 1 extension form.

Interestingly no, The new forms rolled out on 1st October seems to have removed this option.

So essentially, it appears they only differentiate with the documentation you submit.

Hi,

I have applied for Tier 1 General extension.
My earnings are from my LTD. company which I own 100%.

I am drawing salary as employed director and dividend as 100% share holder.

As proof of income i have sent Pay slips, Dividend Vouchers, Accountant Income Summary and Letter, Personal Bank Statements (Confirming all monies online transfer).

Received an interview call at Sheffield and they mentioned in letter that I can send any documents I want to send before interview and not at interview.

Please suggest and guide if I need to send any other documents.

Thanks

Anything related to your business - (in their standard forms/combinations) invoices, business bank statements, company accounts, corporation tax returns, any VAT returns.

Company directors, send the business documents, not just your personal income evidence! Do not try to hide behind the nice and simple 'employed' approach and wish you could get the visa. Quite the opposite - if you don't send them, they will ask for them and they will ask for more which could be beyond your control or extremely tedious to get (because you don't show your business, they are motivated to carry out the investigation). An example is discussed here http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=147575[/url]
