Advice - Case on hold

Post by Mrs N » Tue Nov 12, 2013 12:06 am

Hi

I was wondering if anyone could advise me further?

my application has been put on hold due to the fact i do not earn £18600 and my savings were not sufficient as i was short by £1800 for 3 months in the last 6 months prior to the application (so annoying considering the amount that was required, and for them to penalise me over £1800 seems ridiculous..!!)

my question is, if i was to leave my current job and get a new job, would this become an issue for me once the 'hold' has been lifted?

i dont enjoy where i work, i can get something a lot better paid but i feel like im stuck due to the visa process. im concerned that if i was to change jobs, and once the hold has been lifted, if they were to make enquiries with my current work place and im not there, i think this will cause problems.

but then i think all their enquiries etc should have been done as they have paused by case based on the minimum income.

anyone with any advice to offer, i would be grateful.

thanks

Your circumstances would have changed if you changed jobs. They should consider your new circumstances.

ok so does that mean they will re-check my whole application?

is it better for me to make them aware when i do change job that i have done so?

I believe they will refuse the application because you didn't meet the requirements at the time of applying. If you do change jobs, inform them and see, but be prepared to re-submit.

hi guys, thanks for ur replies

i have been reading up on this, and if u have been in a job under 6 months, u have to apply under cat B - but i am a bit confused, if u apply under Category B, u still have to show your previous 12 months work information - how does this work? as in what do they take into account from the prior 12 months work information?

any further guidance on applying under cat b would be appreciated, i find it a bit difficult to understand the information on UKBA so simplified if possible?

Many thanks

Category B means you do not have to worry about how much you have earned each month or how long you have been with your employer as long as you have earned 18,600 in that time.
