Is it safe to apply housing benefit?

Post by Kashi4825 » Tue Nov 12, 2013 5:27 am

Hi, I m a pakistani national came to UK as a student. I married to an EEA national(polish) last year.
I m working part time since July 2011.
My wife started working part time. I applied for residence card and we are getting housing benefit and child benefit.
Child benefit on her name but housing benefit they assess on the basis of my working when she was not working and now thy taking both incomes into account.
I wanted to ask is,
Is it safe to get benefit when my application in process? Or I could get rejected on the basis of this?[/i]

You should be ok as you have the right to reside and are working.
