Spouse naturalization criteria

Post by nileshkmakwana » Tue Nov 12, 2013 8:17 am

Hi Guys,

My situation is that myself and my wife both has got ILR last year. I am in UK from last more than 8 yrs now but my wife is in UK from last 3yrs and 10 months.
My confusion is, can we both apply same time for the naturalization? Or my wife will have to fulfill the criteria of 5 yrs in UK. My wife is planning to visit india and will stay there for more than 90 days. Would it be a problem to apply for her naturalization? Does she not need to be out more than 90 days before applying naturalisation? Does this criteria also applies to her? :?

Please advice if anyone has same experience.

Thank you very much

A joint naturalisation application is risky. Some have succeeded, but some have failed. Ideally, both applicants should satisfy the standard requirements.
