Change of employment and extension for ILR

Post by odadvisor » Tue Nov 12, 2013 4:54 pm

I currently have Tier 2 General sponsored by my organisation. This was approved in February 2013 and it is valid until January 2016. I have been offered another job now but since the job was only advertised for 14 days, the employer has advertised it again for 14 days to complete the resident labour market test. The rest is all fine but I just wanted to known what my options are after I have changed my employment.

I got Tier 2 from the current employer
I will get change of employment , Tier 2 and a new job and a new employer
Will I be able to get an extension of my Tier 2 after I have changed my employer?
Will I be able to change my employer again after I have changed them once.

I understand that Tier 2 can't be granted for more than 6 years but I just wanted to see what my options are.

It would be immensely helpful for me to make a decision now.

Many Thanks

you can change employment as many times as you wish within the 6 year period. Also, after 5 years on T2G you will be eligible to apply for ILR

perfect thanks very much. I don't need to go back to my home country each time I change my employer right?

Thanks
