Quick Enquiry, which passport to use?? please advise

I am going to apply my wife who lives in Hong Kong to come to join me.

She has dual passports: British National Overseas and HKSAR Passport.

I am thinking toward the future about citizenship.

If she uses HKSAR to apply spouse visa then 5 yrs later she can apply citizenship straight after ILR using AN form.

But if she use BNO, she will need to wait for 1 more year for citizenship after ILR, using BOTA form.

Does it mean I better off NOT using a British related passport?
Or can she still use BNO, but using AN form to apply citizenship 5 years later?

Hi Casa, I am British now, I was a BNO holder, I 'registered' as British using BOTA 2 yrs ago. I had to wait for 1 year after my ILR before I can apply. Thats one of the condition in BOTA form.
