Change of employment while on Tier 2 ICT Long Term Staff

Post by anothergoodman » Wed Nov 13, 2013 7:56 pm

Hi,

Is it possible to apply for "change of employment(different employer)" while on Tier 2 ICT Long Term Staff Visa?

I am confused as there is a note on 'change of employment application (new job with a different employer)' under section "Changing your job" of page Tier 2 ICT.

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... onditions/

Please advice. Many thanks in advance.

Thank you.

you can only switch to Tier2 General (with a different sponsor) if your initial T2 ICT leave was under the rules before 6 April 2011. See para 15 of the T2 policy guidance:

Thank you Manci.

This is sad news. I see plenty of highly paid openings for my skill set as the employers are finding it really difficult to find the right candidates in the market. Also, To live in UK, I have no option other than to be with my present employer, and with the minimum salary set in the visa guidelines. I believe there should be an option to switch the sponsor after serving the Tier 2 ICT initial sponsor for the first 3 years. Hope there will be some changes to these strict rules in the near future to help the companies execute the business with the right talent pool. Cheers.

Although you are probably aware, just to reimind you that under present rules you could apply for a Tier 2 General visa after having been outside the UK for 12 months and, of course, if you have a new CoS.
