visit visa to UK From US

HELLO' Geniuses

My brother in law wants to visit us in December as my wife is expecting a baby in a month. he is presently on OPT which is valid until next June.

I am not sure if he can apply for family visitor visa as my mother and father in laws applied as family visitors and came from INDIA 2 days ago their visa is valid until April.

please let me know if he needs to apply for family or general visit visa, if so what documents he needs to provide.

he is working software engineer and show enough funds.

OPT is similar to PSW, you get after you have graduated jn the US.
