Change of employment: Claiming maintenance points

Post by iahmed13 » Thu Nov 14, 2013 10:35 am

Hi

I am already on a T2 general Visa. For my current visa, my sponsor ticked the maintenance box while issuing CoS hence I did not have to submit any bank statements.

Now, I have got a new CoS from a different employer. This CoS however did not tick the maintenance box.

So my question is, do I need to submit bank statements this time when I do the change of employment application? I heard one does not need to submit documents to claim points for English Language and Maintenance at this point as the points were already claimed on my last application. But last time I claimed Maintenance points from my sponsors CoS, while this time my new CoS doesnt have the tick. What should I do?

Please advise!

If your last grant of leave was Tier 2, you automatically qualify for the maintenance requirements. You don't need to show them separately.

See para
You will also automatically score 10 points for maintenance if you are currently in the UK in one of the following immigration categories:

any Tier 2 category
work permit holder
Jewish agency employee
member of the operational ground staff of an overseas-owned airline
minister of religion, missionary, or member of a religious order
representative of an overseas newspaper, news agency or broadcasting organisation
