10 year long residency or tier 1 leading to ILR

Post by KA941 » Fri Nov 15, 2013 12:21 am

Hi guys

I am facing a tricky situation and needed your advice/suggestion to help make my decision

Current situation

Tier 1 general (3+2) in 4th year (5 year completing in February 2015)

10 year already completed 10 Sep 2013 so can potentially apply for ILR based on long residency.

My wife came to country as tier. 1 dependent in Mar 2011

1. However I don't know if I go for long residency, would my wife be able to get ILR with me? Or should I wait to finish 5 years on tier 1?
2. If I go for long residency and if my wife can't get ILR what visa she can apply? And how long would that visa be for?

Appreciate any help in this regard

Thanks

Thank you for the link

I had a detailed read through this and just wanted to confirm my understanding

It's depends on luck and it is real chance that my wife could get ILR if I get 10 year long residence?

Thanks in advance
